1

Eyelash Extensions – Theory

  • Semi-permanent fibers are attached one by one to natural lashes using a special adhesive.
  • The extension must bond securely without interfering with the natural lash growth cycle.
  • Adhesives (cyanoacrylate) harden through exposure to moisture in the air (polymerization).
  • Proper isolation ensures each natural lash can shed naturally without damage.
  • Weight, length, and curl of the extension must match the natural lash strength to prevent breakage.

2

Brow Lamination – Theory

Brow Lamination – Theory

  • A chemical process temporarily changes the structure of the brow hair by breaking disulfide bonds within the hair shaft.
  • Hair becomes flexible and can be brushed into a new position.
  • A neutralizing agent reforms the bonds to set the hair in the new shape.
  • After lamination, brows appear fuller, more symmetrical, and lifted.
  • Moisture and nourishing treatments are important post-procedure to prevent hair dehydration and brittleness.

3

Lash Lift – Theory

  • A chemical solution is used to alter the natural shape of the lashes by breaking down internal bonds (mainly keratin bonds).
  • Lashes are shaped over a silicone rod or shield into an upward curl.
  • A setting solution (neutralizer) reforms the hair bonds into the new, lifted position.
  • Proper timing and correct rod size are crucial to achieve an ideal lift without damaging the lash structure.
  • Lash lifts enhance the natural lashes without adding any synthetic materials.
